Reasons For Overeating and Tips For Stopping

You're Hungry Because:
There's no time in the morning for breakfast so you grab a muffin or a doughnut.
 
Solutions:
Eat a packet of instant oatmeal with low-fat milk as soon as you wake up. Take an apple or banana to eat in the car.
It's late afternoon, and you're low on energy so you grab something from the office vending machine.
Keep single-serving packages of nuts and dried fruits in your desk and munch a few hours after lunch when you feel moderately hungry.

You have underestimated your time for errands and it's lunch time but you are stuck in traffic.

Pull a high-fiber protein bar from your glove compartment. When you do get to have lunch eat lighter to compensate.

It's past bedtime but you are starving.

Eat a high-fiber low-calorie fruit such as an apple or a pear.
